What We Expect of You
You’ll spearhead and manage your allocated contracts, providing day‑to‑day guidance and ensuring commercial objectives are met. You’ll be responsible for the preparation of key commercial reports, including plant utilisation, traffic management, and defect costs, while supporting the Commercial Director on claims and contractual matters. The role involves chairing weekly commercial meetings, promoting accountability, and ensuring the effective use of systems such as COINS.
You’ll champion safe working procedures, ensure all procedures are followed in accordance with company and contractual requirements, and maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance.
To succeed in this role, you’ll hold a minimum of an HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with proven experience in a senior QS position—ideally within the utilities or civil engineering sector. You’ll have strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, particularly NEC3, and be highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and the wider MS Office suite.
