Production Intern – Diagnostics Manufacturing Are you a recent engineering or science graduate looking to gain hands-on industry experience within an innovative diagnostics company?

Electra Dx is an exciting and fast-growing company developing affordable, user-friendly diagnostic platforms for community and home use. Their technology is designed to deliver rapid, accurate and actionable results that improve healthcare outcomes, and they have an excellent opportunity for a graduate to join on a 4 month paid contract as a Production Intern to support manufacturing activities within their GMP production facility.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals early in their career to gain exposure to the manufacture of cutting-edge diagnostic products within a regulated medical device environment. Working alongside experienced engineers and scientists, you will support day-to-day production activities, learning how innovative diagnostic technologies are manufactured, assembled and quality controlled.

The role will initially focus on routine manufacturing and production support activities, giving successful candidates valuable practical experience within a growing medtech business.

This is a 4-month paid contract position
, working 37.5 hours per week
, based onsite at the company’s facility in Maxim Park, Eurocentral
.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting the manufacture of diagnostic test strips and related products
  • Assisting with assembly and fabrication activities
  • Operating production equipment following training
  • Completing quality checks and recording production data accurately
  • Following GMP guidelines, SOPs and clean room procedures
  • Supporting routine equipment cleaning and maintenance activities
  • Assisting the wider production team with day-to-day manufacturing tasks
  • Learning how regulated diagnostic products are produced within industry
What we’re looking for
  • Recent graduate in Engineering, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Biology or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Interest in medical devices, diagnostics or manufacturing environments
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable following structured processes and procedures
  • Practical, hands‑on mindset with a proactive attitude
  • Previous lab or manufacturing exposure beneficial but not essential
