Overview
Equans is looking for a Mobile Janitor to join our team working across North Lanarkshire Schools, Bellshill, ML4 3LR
on a permanent basis. This is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
- Primary School shifts – 5 days / 5½ days over 7 days with 30‑minute lunch break. Early shift:
Monday to Friday 07:00–15:00. Back shift:
Monday to Friday 14:00–21:15. Back shift:
Saturday 08:00–12:15. - High School shifts – 5 days over 7 days with 30‑minute lunch break. Early shift:
Monday to Friday 07:00–15:00. Mid shift:
Monday to Wednesday 08:00–16:00. Mid shift:
Saturday 09:00–16:15. Mid shift:
Sunday 09:00–16:15. Back shift:
Monday to Friday 14:00–22:00.
- Carry out janitor duties on any North Lanarkshire Schools site as required, with high flexibility to work different shifts on different sites at any time.
- Safely open and close premises, including patrol and inspection, following emergency procedures, securing and cleaning up the premises.
- Liaise with Police in the event of break‑in or fire and carry out emergency procedures.

- Experience in a janitorial role
- Client-friendly attitude
- Experience working in a school environment (advantageous)
- Flexibility in availability
- Full valid driving licence
- Use of own vehicle (expenses paid)
