Shunter Driver; Class 1

Position: Shunter Driver (Class 1)
We are recruiting for Relief Shunter Drivers at our Bellshill Depot within the Muller Milk and Ingredients Distribution Business. This role is Relief Shunter Drivers for holiday/sickness cover therefore must be flexible to work any 5 from 7 covering days/backs/nights/weekends.

Shift Pattern: 5 from 7 covering days/backs/nights/weekends - role will be yard based Hourly Rate:
From £17.30 per hour - £28.42 per hour dependent on shift pattern(Plus £20 weekly supplement) Overtime rate: £19.46 per hour Class 1 Shunter Driver Key Skills & Experience Terberg experience (mandatory) HGV Class 1 Licence (mandatory) Current CPC and digital driving card (mandatory) No more than 6 minor points on driving licence (No CDs, DDs, DRs or INs) An effective team member who works well on their own initiative Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work Self - motivated with a positive attitude and extremely reliable Must be comfortable with the physical nature of the role Class 1 Shunter Driver Role & Responsibilities Coordinate the onsite bay movements ensuring that all equipment is fully compliant Puts safety first and respects all other road users.

Diligent in ensuring driver and vehicle checks are completed correctly. Conduct regular checks on all vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet the necessary safety and compliance standards. If a vehicle or trailer is not compliant defect to the workshop for repairs or maintenance. Prioritise, assess, and control safety, health, and workplace risks. Identify potential hazards and take preventive measures.
