About the role - The Order Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately capturing customer orders, updating inventory records, and ensuring timely processing through our ERP system. This entry-level position supports the sales and fulfillment teams while delivering high-quality customer service.
Key responsibilities
Enter customer orders into the ERP system with 100% accuracy.
Verify product availability and coordinate with inventory control to confirm stock levels.
Communicate order status, confirmations, and any discrepancies to customers promptly.
Generate and distribute order acknowledgments, invoices, and shipping documents.
Maintain up-to-date order logs and reports in Microsoft Excel.
Assist in resolving order-related issues, such as backorders or pricing adjustments.
Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Required qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
0-1 year of data entry or order processing experience.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Customer-service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
Nice to have
Experience with inventory management or supply-chain processes.
Familiarity with basic data analysis or reporting tools.
Knowledge of industry-specific ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Net Suite).
Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume order environment.
