Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

A leading 5-star UK hotel group is looking for a driven Accountant to join their team in Tygervalley, Cape Town.

As an Accountant
, you’ll manage end-to-end financial operations - from entering and reconciling data across ledgers, bank accounts, inter-company loans, and assets, to preparing management accounts, payroll, PAYE and VAT returns, while ensuring accurate reporting, timely payments, and compliance with UK HMRC regulations.

• Enter financial data accurately into spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Conduct bank reconciliations across group entities.
• Reconcile inter-company loans and ledger accounts.
• Prepare for payment runs and process payroll journals.
• Capture and submit monthly payrolls.
• Prepare and submit monthly PAYE returns.
• Maintain and reconcile the Asset Register.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage all communication with HMRC in the UK.

• Qualified Professional Accountant (SA) or In-progress SAIPA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Xero is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is advantageous.
• R25 000 – R30 000 CTC / month, depending on experience.
