Management Accountant | Two Oceans Commercial

Support the finance function by managing creditors and debtors' reconciliations, processing payments and collections, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Ensure timely bank, VAT, and general ledger reconciliations while assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

KPA’s will include (but are not limited to) the following essential responsibilities

• Creditor reconciliations, payments, claims, returns and queries; debtor reconciliations, processing of statements, collections, claims and queries.
• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure payments are processed as per internal controls.
• Actively manage supplier relationships, resolving queries and ensuring smooth operational continuity.
• Effective communication and interaction with customers and vendors to maintain good relationships. Respond to vendor enquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
• Reconcile and balance all accounts / balance GL account. Do expense analysis as required.
• Complete and finalise financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet)
• Draw up management accounts and financial accounts reporting pack
• Processing of monthly journals.
• VAT Reconciliations.
• Admin liaison both internally and externally.
• Streamline supplier interface by creating internal structures to support sale of service.
• Preparation of weekly and monthly reports for management.
• Assist with internal/external audits, and compliance checks.
• Assist the SPF Export Accountant to ensure month end deadlines are met.
• Maintaining filing and audit trails for administrative purposes.
• Perform general financial administrative tasks as required.

• Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in Bookkeeping / Accounting / Finance, preferably degree or 3 year accounting diploma

• A minimum of 3 years experience within accounting environment, preferably within the FMCG / Import industry.
• Experience with Accounting software such as Microsoft Business Central, Sage Evolution, Oracle or similar ERP systems.

• Ability to manage processes.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office – Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and reporting expertise.
• Time management and the ability to work under tight deadlines

• Planning and organising skills, applying good business judgement.
