To support and administer the enterprise virtualisation environment and associated infrastructure services within ICTS. The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and stability of virtualised server environments and supporting enterprise systems aligned to institutional operational and technology objectives.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or in a related field
- At least four (4) years’ experience in VMware or enterprise virtualisation platforms
- Relevant VMware, virtualisation or infrastructure certifications will be advantageous
- Experience with enterprise server, storage and data centre environments
- Experience with high availability, clustering and performance optimisation
- Experience in the Higher Education environment will be advantageous
- Enterprise Infrastructure and Server Support
- Storage and High Availability Support
- Monitoring and Performance Optimisation
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Support
- Enterprise Systems Maintenance and Support
- Documentation and Compliance Management
- Participation in ICTS Projects and Innovation Initiatives
- Operational Support and Shared Services Duties
- Vendor and Stakeholder Support Coordination
