Compensation:$75–$85/hr
Schedule:185/187 days (school-year schedule)

A school program in the Belmont–Redwood Shores area is seeking a skilled
Education Specialist (Moderate–Severe)to provide specialized academic and behavioral instruction for students with exceptional needs. Under the guidance of school administration and Special Programs leadership, the Education Specialist delivers direct instruction, coordinates services, leads IEP processes, and supports Para Educators in implementing student goals.

• Conduct assessments and develop accurate, compliant IEPs

• Provide specialized academic instruction aligned to each student’s goals

• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and related service providers

• Lead IEP meetings and ensure timelines and requirements are met

• Monitor academic and behavioral progress and adjust instruction as needed

• Maintain all required records, documentation, and reports

• Support Para Educators in instructional implementation

• Create an organized, inclusive, and safe classroom environment

• Use technology and evidence-based strategies to enhance instruction

• Participate in SST meetings, site/district meetings, and SELPA trainings

• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Valid California Education Specialist Moderate/Severe or ESN Credential

• English Learner Authorization

• Strong collaboration, communication, and instructional skills

• Experience working with students with diverse and complex needs
