Position summary:

Pharmacy Technicians deliver compassionate care to our patients and support the team by managing pharmacy tasks to fill prescriptions promptly, safely and accurately, while upholding professional and ethical standards and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team’s ability to promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions while providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations.
• Follow all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations; maintain highest professional and ethical standards.
• Provide customer service and support to patients and customers in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Licensure requirements vary by state
• Attention and focus; ability to concentrate on a task over time without distraction
• Customer service orientation; actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner and respond appropriately to customers’ reactions
• Communication skills; verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues; active listening
• Mathematical reasoning; ability to use math to solve problems (e.g., calculating day’s supply of a prescription)
• Problem resolution; ability to judge when something is wrong and choose appropriate action

Physical Demands

• Remaining upright for sustained periods; moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
• Fine motor tasks such as typing or handling small parts
• Frequent reaching, bending and lifting up to 30 lbs occasionally
• Vision for reading and viewing a computer terminal and performing visual inspections

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• PTCB National Certification

Education

High School Diploma Or Equivalent Preferred But Not Required.
