Job Title: ERP Application Consultant

Location(s): Belmont, NC

Summary

As an ERP Consultant member of the Managed Services Team, you’ll work with customers to identify solutions to business and functional problems. Activities include:

Where you will make an impact
  • Consults with clients to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
  • Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
  • Writes and maintains technical specifications.
  • Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and time tables for developing programs.
  • Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms.
  • Customizes and codes screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
  • Converts designs and specifications into computer code.
  • Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected in compile process.
  • Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
  • Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs.
  • Consults with client and/or senior team member to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.
  • Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
  • Writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures.
  • Reviews documentation written by others that describes installation and operating procedures.
  • Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs.
  • Monitors performance of programs after implementation.
  • Assists in researching performance issues with SQL queries and database functions.
  • Writes custom SQL functions.
  • Strong SQL/MS-SQL skills including SSRS.
  • Understanding of relational database structures and concepts with strong knowledge of T-SQL.
  • Development experience using .NET with a focus on C#.NET.
  • Strong analytical and communications skills required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to learn complicated subjects quickly.
  • Ability to work 8am-5pm (Eastern or Central Time - US & Canada).
Skills
  • Experience working in higher education and client facing experience required.
  • Experience with MSSQL, Power Campus or other ERP used in the higher education field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Student Information Systems (SIS), learning management systems (LMS), CRM solutions, Campus Solutions and Analytics.
  • Microsoft SQL Database Administration is a must have.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with APIs as an interface between systems.
  • Knowledge of Power

    FAIDs.
  • General Knowledge of Office 365.
  • Familiarity with Power Shell.
Duties
  • The ERP Application Consultant provides analysis of a customer's business requirements and objectives and works with them to meet those objectives.
  • They identify, develop and integrate ERP solution to meet predefined requirements interacting with clients, sales and technical consultants.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Analysis of a customer's business requirements and objectives and work with them to meet those objectives.
  • Implement and configure ERP applications and modules.
  • Analyze client business processes and collect all relevant data for implementation.
  • On-site and/or remote implementation of web-based ERP application.
  • Train end users in specific modules of ERP application.
  • Prepare project documentations associated with implementation such as manuals, customer query data, issue logs and their resolution.
  • Application configuration, implementation and data conversion.
  • Assist customers with application testing and rollout.
  • Recommend business process improvements to the customer.
  • Analyze and specify application enhancements with the customer.
  • Work with the customer and other internal organizations to quickly resolve issues impeding implementation or go live.
Education

Technical Degree or related work experience.
