Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), or coronary care nursing

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification

• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam within 24 hours of offer

• Ability to work through January 4, 2026
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit

• Monitor, assess, and manage patients with acute cardiac conditions and post-surgical recovery

• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient status

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans

• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes

• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery, and preventive care
