Location: Belmont, NC (Convent)
Pay Range: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour

The Sisters of Mercy are seeking a dependable and experienced Cook II to support daily meal preparation in a mission-driven, community-focused environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality food, safe kitchen practices, and serving others.

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary needs

Assist with food prep, baking, serving, and stocking

Maintain cleanliness, food safety standards, and temperature logs

Support dining room service for Sisters, employees, and guests

Follow proper food rotation, storage, and sanitation procedures

Step in as lead for the dietary department when the manager is not present

Work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays

High school diploma

Minimum of 3 years of food service or cooking experience

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Comfortable operating kitchen and dishwashing equipment

Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and respectful service

Background in healthcare, residential, or faith-based settings

Appreciation for mission-driven or community-focused organizations

Stable schedule in a respectful, values-based environment
