Position Summary
Solomon Valley Hospice is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse (36-40 hours per week) Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The ideal candidate will be part of our interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate our hospice services. Responsibilities include admitting new patients and completing admission/initial assessment and associated documentation. As the patient's case manager, the nurse is also responsible for leadership and oversight of the patient’s entire interdisciplinary plan of care.
The RN will utilize teaching, assessment and intervention skills to provide quality end of life care for patients and their families. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, pay strong attention to detail and accuracy, and work under pressure in a cooperative work environment. Must be self-directed and motivated with strong communication and computer skills. This job requires flexibility to meet patient care needs within the continuum of services and participation in the 24/7 nursing coverage rotation (approximately 7 nights per month).

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse licensed for the State of Kansas.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN clinical experience.
- Hospice and / or Home Health experience preferred.
- A Valid Driver's license
