Overview
The Clinical Therapist – Dual License works with patients who present with AODA or mental health concerns. He/she completes psychosocial assessments, develops treatment plans, and provides ongoing treatment with individuals, groups, and families. The therapist consults and coordinates care with physicians, providers, and community agencies, delivers behavioral health care in accordance with patient evaluations and treatment plans, maintains medical record data, and performs other duties as assigned.
The therapist must comply with all Mercy Health System, State, and Joint Commission policies and be willing to travel between treatment sites as required.

- Interviews clients, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to evaluate condition of client.
- Formulates program for prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of client.
- Provides individual and group counseling to address mental health issues and to assist clients in overcoming alcohol and drug dependence, monitoring client progress and adapting treatment as needed.
- Counsels family members to assist family in dealing with and providing support for client.
- Refers client to other support services, such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, and employment services.
- Prepares and maintains current reports and records.
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
- Must possess all required certification and licensure per the state in which the role will be practiced.
- Wisconsin: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
- Illinois: LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT
- Dual Licensure (additional requirement):
- Wisconsin:
Wisconsin Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) - Illinois: CADC or CRADC
