Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

This role offers an opportunity to grow your career as a Pharmacy Technician with Walgreens. The Pharmacy Technician Training Program is recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor and will guide you to achieve Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification.

Base pay range: $17.00–$20.50 per hour. Compensation may vary by location, experience, and other factors.

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties in accordance with company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions accurately.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting and assisting customers, resolving issues, and ensuring positive service.
• Work under pharmacist supervision to maintain inventory, process and dispense prescriptions, and record cash register transactions.
• Adhere to Walgreens Code of Conduct, Good Faith Dispensing, and quality improvement procedures.
• Assist in clinical services such as blood/urine sample labeling, coordination of clinical services, and communication with health providers.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through a designated training program.
• Attend scheduled training and acquire continuing education credits.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior experience with Walgreens.
• Good mathematical calculations and computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
