The Registered Nurse in Medical Outpatient will safely and effectively administer intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products, and observe and document patients' responses to infusion therapy, noting any adverse reactions. The Registered Nurse will start IV lines and manage central lines, ensuring proper placement and maintenance, educate patients and their families about infusion therapy, including the purpose, procedure, and potential side effects, ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain equipment used for infusion therapy.
The Registered Nurse will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, conduct thorough assessments of wounds to determine the appropriate treatment plan and select and apply appropriate dressings and topical treatments to promote healing and prevent infection, as well as regularly evaluating the healing process and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
Other duties will include providing instructions to patients on wound care management, including hygiene practices and signs of infection, and maintain accurate and detailed records of wound assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program, BSN preferred
- Current WI RN Licensure
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a team environment
- Professional and effective communication skills are a must
- Strong critical thinking abilities
- Wound care certification
- Infusion Therapy experience with strong peripheral IVs and central access
