Overview
We are hiring immediately for full time and part time COOK positions at The School District of Beloit, 1500 Fourth Street, Beloit, WI 53511. Online applications accepted only.
Schedule and Compensation- Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. - Pay Range: $15.00 per hour to $17.00 per hour.
- Perks:
No nights, no weekends, and no holidays.
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery with correct portioning, ensuring proper temperature, attractiveness and taste. Tastes all prepared items.
- Maintains accurate records, follows established ticket procedures, and ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains high standards of cleanliness, and stores or discards excess food per safe food-handling procedures.
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed; assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
- Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies; reports needed maintenance or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Attends in-service and safety meetings; maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
- Performs duties safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment; follows HACCP standards and proper presentation and portion control.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Abides by all Company policies and procedures, including use of protective equipment and proper lifting techniques.
- Requirement:
Previous culinary experience is preferred, but not required.
