Salary: £90–£120 per day
Education Personnel is supporting a village primary school nestled between two beautiful market towns in Amber Valley, to recruit several SEN Teaching Assistants. This role is an excellent opportunity for SEN TAs to join a school that places real importance on supporting pupils with additional needs. The school benefits from spacious outdoor areas and calm learning spaces, which are used regularly to help children regulate and engage in their learning.
The school works closely with families, local services and specialist professionals to ensure that pupils with SEND receive consistent support. Staff collaborate across year groups and make good use of structured routines to help children feel secure and confident throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEND
• Assist with personalised learning plans and differentiated tasks
• Use Makaton to support communication where needed
• Work with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
• Encourage independence and emotional regulation
• Support daily routines and contribute to a positive learning environment
• Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals as required
Requirements:
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Previous one-to-one support experience
• Makaton experience (desired)
• Good communication skills and a patient, consistent approach
• Ability to follow guidance from teachers and the SENCO
• Willingness to work as part of a supportive team
