Senior Accountant
Work for the Smart Safety Company
Our team at AMFS, LLC, a Safe Fleet brand, is seeking a Senior Accountant responsible for ensuring the smooth running of a finance and accounting department. This individual must combine their responsibilities with day-to-day accounting duties, such as data input and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other Duties:
- Apply working knowledge of applicable accounting practices and regulations; verify documents for completeness and compliance
- Maintain cross-training to support as backup for AR and AP functions and help manage these processes
- Review processes, recommend improvements, and create new processes where needed
- Assist in internal and external audits
- Manage fixed assets and capital expenditures
- Assist with special projects as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Experience with Net Suite is a plus
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and month-end close
- Ability to develop relationships with individuals at all levels, including customers, vendors, and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills via phone, email, and formal writing
- Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies
- Problem-solving and innovation skills to analyze and resolve issues effectively
- High proficiency in Excel
- Professionalism with the ability to balance urgency with patience and compassion
- Discretion in handling proprietary information
