The Physical Therapist carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The PT supervises therapy assistants, aides and students.
What you will do in this role- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in acute care, inpatient rehab, and/or outpatient settings.
- Coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.
- Develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
- Deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.
- Serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.
- Weekend rotation – as needed.
- Prefer experienced PTs for the weekend rotation; or new grads with more extensive inpatient clinical hours completed.
- Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master’s degree preferred.
- Current state professional license or license eligible.
- Good interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Word‑processing skills preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Saving (BCLS) – American Heart Association.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; diagnostic skills consistent with professional degree.
- Proficient with computer software programs.
- Proficient with patient care related equipment.
