Operations Manager
Mayo Auction & Realty is hiring an Operations Manager to lead catalog and front office teams, own day-to-day business operations, and drive process excellence. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to ownership.

What You’ll Do Lead People- Hire, train, coach, and (when necessary) discipline or terminate team members
- Build a positive, accountable, high-performance culture
- Set clear expectations and provide consistent feedback
- Develop team members and help them grow into their strengths
- Oversee cataloging and front office workflows
- Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and workload planning
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and deadlines are met
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Create, document, and improve processes
- Implement systems that reduce chaos and increase consistency
- Work closely with ownership to align operations with business goals
- Track progress on active projects and auctions
- Hold teams accountable to timelines and quality standards
- Support revenue goals through operational excellence
- Contribute to incentive bonus success through strong execution
- Projects stay on time

- 5+ years of experience in operations, management, or a leadership role with direct responsibility for people and processes
- Proven ability to hire, train, and lead teams while maintaining accountability and morale
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with a track record of keeping projects on schedule
- Experience improving workflows, systems, and processes in a growing organization
- Comfortable making decisions, addressing performance issues, and managing change
- Proficient with technology, project management tools, and office systems (CRM or workflow software a plus)
- Auction experience is a plus—but leadership, operational discipline, and people management matter most.
