Job Description

The Mechanic will perform a variety of tasks to ensure smooth branch operation. This person will service and repair rental equipment to go to the customers. He/she must have a professional demeanor and be able to provide timely service. Pro Star Rental is a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Tasks assigned to this position include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising other service techs to ensure routine services are consistently performed.
• Prepare accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Identify warranty situations before repair has begun.
• Report equipment failures and all safety violations.
• Apply professional troubleshooting techniques to equipment repair.
• Maintain company vehicles.
• Requires intermittent periods during which continued physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
• Typically, in a comfortable environment, but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.

• General knowledge of construction equipment and associated parts is a must.
• Vocational education is preferred.
• Must be able to lift approximately 70 pounds.
• Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
• Must speak English clearly and write legibly. Ability to speak another language is a plus.
• Must pass company drug screen.
