The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Director of the Arts Academy, the Choir Director plans and leads weekly choir rehearsals/classes for students of all ages and skill levels. The Arts Academy Choir Director selects appropriate repertoire that aligns with the University’s values and performance goals, teaches vocal technique, sight-reading, ear training, and ensemble skills, and prepares students for performances, recitals, and community events in collaboration with other faculty and staff to support interdisciplinary arts programming.
Work schedule will depend on the number of classes and students assigned. All lessons and classes are scheduled for Monday through Friday, primarily in the afternoon and up to 8:00 p.m. However, morning classes may also be available based on student enrollment. Some weekend performances will be required.
