Power BI Analyst – Manufacturing Analytics

CAEtech is seeking a Power BI Analyst - Manufacturing Analytics for a full-time contract position with benefits supporting manufacturing operations in Beltsville, Maryland.

The position is strongly preferred to be 100% onsite in Beltsville, Maryland to support collaboration with plant teams and access to required data systems.

The analyst will design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and data solutions that help plant leadership and operational teams analyze information and make faster, data-driven decisions. The role involves building dashboards from multiple data sources, integrating ERP and spreadsheet data, automating reporting, ensuring data accuracy and translating stakeholder requirements into effective business intelligence solutions.

• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and visualizations.
• Develop dashboards from scratch based on operational and stakeholder requirements.
• Build and manage datasets using multiple data sources, including ERP systems and spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with plant management and department leaders to understand business and reporting requirements.
• Translate stakeholder needs into functional dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Develop automated reporting solutions that reduce manual reporting activities.
• Maintain and improve existing Power BI dashboards.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across reporting platforms.
• Troubleshoot data-quality and reporting issues.
• Document reporting processes, data definitions and dashboard functionality.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes through data analysis and visualization.

• Strong hands-on Microsoft Power BI development experience.
• Ability to build Power BI dashboards from scratch.
• Power Query.
• DAX.
• Data modeling and dataset development.
• Automated report development.
• Ability to integrate dashboards with ERP data and static spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate stakeholder requirements into reporting solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• SQL database and query experience.
• Microsoft Excel and advanced data-analysis skills.
• Manufacturing data-analysis experience.
• Experience working with ERP-derived manufacturing data.

Formal education is flexible. Candidates may have a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering or a related discipline.

Candidates with strong practical Power BI experience, internships or a demonstrated portfolio may also qualify without a Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated capability and portfolio quality are more important than formal credentials for this position.

Minimum 1 year of hands-on Power BI experience
, including demonstrated ability to develop and maintain dashboards.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate previous dashboard-development work through work samples, a portfolio or examples of prior projects.
