The Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Beltsville, MD. This position is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial and industrial construction customers by building strong relationships, understanding project requirements, and recommending appropriate products and solutions. Day-to-day tasks include responding to customer inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, coordinating with internal teams and manufacturers, and ensuring timely delivery and follow-up.

The Account Manager will monitor account performance, identify new business opportunities, and proactively address service issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. This role also involves staying informed about product lines, industry trends, and construction applications to provide knowledgeable guidance and support.

• Demonstrated skills in customer relationship management, account management, and client communication.
• Experience with sales processes, opportunity identification, and cross-selling or upselling relevant products.
• Ability to understand construction product applications, technical specifications, and jobsite requirements.
• Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills to handle multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Proficiency with basic office software, CRM or ERP systems, and order entry tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone and email etiquette.
• Prior experience in industrial or commercial construction supply, distribution, or a related field is preferred.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Beltsville, MD, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and occasionally visit customer locations as needed.
