Valley Custom Woodwork Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our growing team of millwork professionals. This role is critical in helping us deliver custom-built solutions for high-end residential, commercial, industrial, and government projects. While prior experience in estimating is required, we’re also ready to train the right candidate in our proven methods and systems.

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Analyze labor, materials, and time requirements for custom millwork and cabinetry projects
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing for materials and outsourced work
• Prepare detailed proposals and present bids to internal teams or clients
• Work closely with project managers and designers to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets
• Update pricing models and maintain cost databases
• Participate in pre‑construction planning and budgeting discussions
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Help transition awarded projects from estimating to production seamlessly

• Experience in a similar estimating or construction role—millwork background is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
• High level of comfort with numbers, measurements, and cost modeling
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
