First Student is hiring a Part Time School Bus Monitor in Belvidere, IL. You will be there at the start of the students' day with before-school pickup and at the end with an afternoon shift to bring students safely back home. No experience as a school bus monitor is required; we provide industry-leading training to help you succeed.

• Work a split shift with before-school pickup and after-school drop-off, with a few hours free in between.
• Maintain student safety during transport and boarding/alighting; assist with crossing guards as needed.
• Deliver reliable, on-time transportation and communicate concerns to the supervisor as required.

• $16.50 per hour to $20.00 per hour starting wage, based on experience.
• $500 sign-on bonus.

• No college degree or high school diploma required (based on location).
• Military experience is acceptable.
• Returning to the workforce or seeking a second job.

• Part-time schedule suitability; ability to work with students.
• At least 21 years old and a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.

• Position is subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana.

• In Washington, safety-sensitive driving roles require drug and alcohol testing, including cannabis.
