Accounting Associate

Overview

Northwest Cabinets, Inc. is a fast growing Millwork Mfg company located in Bemidji, MN. We are looking for a payroll/accounting associate to join our company.

• Weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll processing using Quick Books
• Process payroll with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Semi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly payroll tax payments via the IRS and Minnesota and North Dakota websites
• Sales tax reporting and payments
• Unemployment tax reporting and payments
• Preparing quarterly and annual payroll reports
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients and coworkers
• Reconcile and process year end payroll returns including W-2s and 1099s
• Accounts Payable processing
• Manage multiple checking and credit card accounts
• Maintain computer and hard copy financial files
• Attention to detail and tracking of orders and invoices to maintain accurate and reliable financial records
• Additional responsibilities may include:
  Bookkeeping, Quick Books desktop and Quick Books online, Administrative prep, Working closely with the partners and managers, Answer phone, Greet and direct visitors to appropriate staff, Maintain work space

• Experience:
  
  bookkeeping: 1 year (Preferred)
• Payroll: 1 year (Preferred)
• 1-3 years experience in payroll processing (Preferred)
• Proficient in Quick Books (desktop and online)
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook
• Associates degree or higher in accounting is preferred but not required

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
