Salary Range: 15.50 - 23.50
- Prepping & performing phlebotomy on patients from children to the elderly
- Preparing samples for pickup
- Maintaining appropriate supplies inventory
- Charting blood draws
Location description:
Bemidji offers outdoor and indoor activities and a community-focused environment.
Uses equipment to collect samples of blood and other fluids from patients/residents; explains procedures to patients/residents and collects information in a professional manner. Collects and manages samples; ensures patient safety during collection. Records and documents information accurately. Follows standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques. Communicates with patients/residents and answers questions regarding phlebotomy procedures.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience preferred
- Experience in a laboratory-related field preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required
