Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of inpatient and SNF experience to provide acute and long-term care support, requiring MN licensure and BLS (AHA) certification.

• Role includes both inpatient acute care and long-term care (LTC) float responsibilities
• Day shift, Monday through Friday with no call or weekend requirements
• Primary caseload involves adults with varied diagnoses including general deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op ortho, neuro, and medical-surgical cases
• Therapy support also provided at skilled nursing facilities with resident caseloads
• Position may require working independently as the sole Occupational Therapist at some LTC locations, with phone support available
• Charting is performed in Epic for acute care and Casamba/Net Health for LTC settings
• Facility is a level 3 trauma center
• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment planning for adult patients across multiple care settings
• Support therapy services coverage at two skilled nursing facilities
• Training includes computer-based orientation, one-on-one documentation systems training, and departmental orientation
• Therapy caseload typically averages 30-40 patients; SNF locations have 60 and 30 beds respectively
• All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility
• Dress code is polo in ceil blue, khaki, gray, chocolate brown, or business casual attire
• Returning employees must have an employment end date at least 6 months prior to consideration
• Local candidates within 80 miles may be considered with local pay adjustment

• Current MN Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
• Active BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the past 3 years in inpatient or SNF settings
• Experience with Epic EMR highly preferred
• Willingness to float between inpatient and LTC locations as needed
