Overview
Human Services Technician – Certified Nursing Assistant (HST‑CNA) – Minnesota Veterans Home, Bemidji. Part‑time night shift (10:00 pm – 6:30 am). Competitive hourly wage $21.22–$28.44 plus $2.25/hour shift differential. Full employer contribution to health and dental insurance. Minimum 64 hours per two‑week pay period with possible additional hours.
ResponsibilitiesProvide compassionate, person‑centered care to residents in a long‑term nursing facility. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensure safety, and help residents attain their highest functional capabilities in an environment that promotes caring, respect, and values the individual.
Minimum Qualifications- Registered as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Nursing Assistant Registry OR register by the time of hire.
- Able to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes.
- Current registration as a Nursing Assistant with the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry.
- Experience as a certified nursing assistant.
- Experience providing ADLs.
- Experience working in a long‑term care environment.
- Current CPR and/or BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Successful completion of a Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check.
- Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening or chest x‑ray required prior to employment.
- Employment reference checks for finalists.
