About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse in a 16‑bed inpatient psychiatric facility, you will provide nursing care, medication management, and patient education under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your focus will be on stabilizing patients, supporting therapeutic relationships, and facilitating discharge planning with community resources.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor vitals and treatment responses.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and care plans.
- Support patients in achieving treatment goals and enhancing functional independence.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse in Minnesota (or eligible to obtain licensure).
- Graduates within six (6) months of earning a degree and taking the NCLEX‑LPN may receive contingent job offers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mental health or behavioral health settings.
- Prior work with adult inpatient treatment or secure facilities.
Additional Requirements
- Resume must detail relevant experience with start and end dates for each position.
- Reference checks and criminal background checks will be performed.
- TB-free documentation via blood test required (no skin test).
