* ** We are seeking a Veterans Care Specialist to work as an advanced care team member to provide leadership and mentorship to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)-Human Services Technician (HST) employees. One part-time, day shift position will be filled by consideration of applicants to this posting.*
* Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Provide leadership, training, oversight and mentoring to current and new CNA-HST employees so that their competencies and resident services are enhanced.

+ Independently administer medications and/or treatments as prescribed to residents as requested.

+ Participate and provide input in team meetings and in the development and implementation of care plans for residents.

+ Measure targeted goals for residents, households, groups, and individualized projects as assigned. Analyze data to assess resident interventions.

+ Assist in the development and implementation of an educational curriculum for staff.

The position is designated as part-time and primarily day shift.  
** The work schedule will include at least 48 hours per 2-week pay period and may include additional work hours** , based on business needs. The position is initially eligible for partial employer contribution towards health and dental insurance benefits.
