Immediate start for a Kitchen Lead, AM Shift.

Must have grill experience.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
  • Prepares all food items ads directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
  • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
  • Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
  • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the management team

  • Report to work as scheduled (no earlier than five minutes), in uniform, and ready to work.

Physical Demands:

  • Exposures to cold, heat, and water.
  • Must be able to withstand continuous walking, standing and bending.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds when needed.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Smoking is not permitted on the premises.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous prep or line cook experience.
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • Proven ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
  • Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the English language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers
  • Required to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.
  • Required to purchase appropriate uniform upon hiring.

Certifications and/or Testing Required:

  • Maintains a food handlers permit.
