Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Overview

Retail Sales Associate - Part Time - 2159  are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and much more.

Pay and schedule
: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour. The position offers a commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed, with potential to earn additional commissions on top of hourly pay. Most stores open 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; many locations are closed on Sundays. Auto-enrollment in the First Cash 401(k) program after six months of employment. Earned Wage Access available after day 2 of employment (up to 50% of wages, up to seven times per payroll cycle).

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and offer appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Handles sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policy.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; collaborates to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and other related duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, bending, climbing, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (as applicable).
• May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
• Minimum Age: 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and be team-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Cash handling experience preferred; able to operate POS systems.
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations as needed; willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Commission Plan

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of personal performance. More details provided during interview.
