Position: Customer Service Ambassador (Cashier) - Monday, Wednesday and Saturday 9am-6pm

This is a part time position on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 9am-6pm.

The ReStore Customer Service Ambassador provides exceptional customer service while processing payments, exchanges and giving information. The Customer Service Ambassador is often the last interaction our customers have in our store and plays a critical role in educating customers about the value that BRHFH provides in the communities we serve. Customer Service Ambassadors should greet customers with a positive attitude and provide a smooth checkout experience.

ReStore Customer Service Ambassadors actively demonstrate the BRHFH Core Values:

CORE DUTIES:

  • Support the Bend Redmond Habitat for Humanity mission of building homes, communities, and hope.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all customers receive the attention and assistance needed.
  • In a friendly and courteous manner, assist customers with shopping needs, answer customer and team member inquiries, and resolve customer complaints.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and efficient manner while completing customer transactions on the cash register.
  • Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
  • Accurately process payments, refunds and exchanges.
  • Accurately use Point of Sale System (POS) for all customer transactions.
  • Ensure customers and volunteers have an excellent experience with all BRHFH ReStores.
  • Effectively communicate the BRHFH and HFH missions to members of the public.
  • Maintain a clean and organized area.
  • Respond to requests for assistance from other team members in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Follow all safety practices to keep our store safe for team members, customers, volunteers and donors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for supporting customers and proving outstanding store experience.
  • Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience with cash handling and cashiering preferred.
