Position: Federal Work-Study Student Ambassador *Student Position Only*

Primary Purpose

Responsible to lead campus tours to visiting prospective students. Provide assistance at student recruitment events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct guided campus tours throughout the week
  • Conduct drop-in campus tours on an as-needed basis
  • Represent COCC during on-campus recruiting events (mandatory) such as Fall Preview Day
  • Assist with recruitment activities/programs including campus visitation programs and group tours
  • Assist with Bobcat Orientation during Fall, Winter and Spring Terms
  • Assist with in-district high school visits
  • Assist in calling campaigns
  • Regularly interact with other COCC student leaders for events and activities
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Assist with social media
  • Attend Student Leadership Initiative
  • Perform other duties as they pertain to the overall objective of the position, as assigned

Ergonomic Requirements

Regular office hours are established between 8 am – 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities.

Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature. Requires the ability to work at a workstation for extended periods. Requires to write, read written materials and computer screens, and ability to use telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2025-26.
  • Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
