Primary Purpose

Responsible to lead campus tours to visiting prospective students. Provide assistance at student recruitment events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct guided campus tours throughout the week
  • Conduct drop‑in campus tours on an as‑needed basis
  • Represent COCC during on‑campus recruiting events (mandatory) such as Fall Preview Day
  • Assist with recruitment activities/programs including campus visitation programs and group tours
  • Assist with Bobcat Orientation during Fall, Winter and Spring Terms
  • Assist with Bobcat Advising and Registration during Fall, Winter, and Spring Terms
  • Assist with in‑district high school visits
  • Assist in calling campaigns
  • Regularly interact with other COCC student leaders for events and activities
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Assist with social media
  • Attend Student Leadership Initiative
  • Perform other duties as they pertain to the overall objective of the position, as assigned.

Ergonomic Requirements

Regular office hours are established between 8 am – 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities.

Ambassadors must give campus tours across campus, climbing stairs and walking for extended periods of time. Extended standing with occasional lifting between 10‑25 lbs.

All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education Currently enrolled COCC student in good academic standing. Experience One year experience in customer service.
  • Level II requires one full term working in level I.
