Lonza Pharma & Biotech is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Bend, OR. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to life-saving drug development through innovative equipment design and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and modify pharmaceutical processing equipment in collaboration with engineers, scientists and end users.
  • Support GMP operations and R&D activities through equipment design, fabrication and installation.
  • Coordinate project schedules to ensure timely and safe delivery.
  • Assist in installation and troubleshooting of facility systems.
  • Develop system P&IDs with cross-functional teams.
  • Document systems and components to meet GMP standards.
  • Maintain CAD data using Solid Works PDM Professional.
  • Support the operation of the Mechanical Engineering and Fabrication department.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Solid Works, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Experience with GMP standards and hygienic equipment design.
  • Strong mechanical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing and fabrication is a plus.
