Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer

Join the team at Jacobs to develop innovative HVAC solutions for heavy industrial clients. As a Senior HVAC Engineer, you will create design criteria, perform calculations, and deliver construction documents while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

• Develop HVAC system layout and design based on client needs and performance requirements.
• Create design criteria and perform sizing calculations for heating, cooling, humidity control, pressurization, and clean room applications.
• Generate preliminary and final design documents, including Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
• Produce final design specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layouts, and construction drawings for chilled water, cooling water, and other systems.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and vendors, interface with clients, and manage schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks.

• Professional Engineering License.
• At least ten years of experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on projects and collaborate with remote discipline team members.

• Experience with Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
• Design experience in plumbing/utility systems.
