Senior Healthcare Commissioning Engineer
Role SummaryIn this senior role, you will lead commissioning and retro-commissioning projects for healthcare facilities, guide project teams, and strengthen our long-standing client relationship in Central Oregon. This position is ideal for an experienced commissioning engineer ready to take on more responsibility, influence project outcomes, and shape the future of our healthcare market sector.
Key Responsibilities- Lead commissioning and retro-commissioning efforts for mechanical and plumbing systems in healthcare facilities
- Facilitate project delivery by coordinating with owners, facility staff, contractors, and design teams
- Conduct field investigations, functional performance testing, and issue resolution
- Oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, and documentation requirements
- Provide technical direction to internal project teams and support junior staff
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships through clear communication and proactive problem solving
- Contribute to development of long-term strategies for healthcare commissioning work
- 8+ years of experience in commissioning, mechanical engineering, or healthcare facility engineering
- Strong understanding of mechanical/HVAC systems and basic plumbing systems
- Proven ability to manage technical projects and client relationships
- Experience with retro-commissioning, functional testing, or healthcare facility operations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
- PE, CCP, BCxP, or similar credential
- Previous consulting engineering experience
- Experience in Central Oregon healthcare facilities
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements and infection control considerations

LocationThis position is based in Bend, Oregon, serving clients throughout Central Oregon. Field work is mandatory with a need for flexible work hours (night and weekends).

This is a full‑time, exempt position. Competitive salary $145,000 to $155,000, DOE. Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plan with company contributions and company performance bonus.
