Position: Sr. Civil Engineer - Land Development at Gpac Bend, OR

About the Opportunity

An established and respected engineering firm is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in Land Development to lead and manage complex site development projects. This is a strategic role offering the opportunity to shape project outcomes, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in the firm’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage civil engineering design for land development projects including site layout, grading, stormwater systems, and utility infrastructure.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables from concept through construction.
  • Serve as a technical expert and resource for internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, reviewing plans and providing quality control.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client relationship management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in land development design and project management.
  • PE license required.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant design tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes and development regulations.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex development projects.
  • Strong client‑facing and proposal writing experience.
  • Familiarity with a variety of project types including residential, commercial, and mixed‑use developments.
