Position: Critical Care Paramedic - Full and Part time

Adventure Medics is a rapidly growing organization based in Bend, Oregon. We are looking for a Critical Care Paramedic or Nurse with EMS Certification to join our Critical Care ground transport team.

Position Type: Full Time

Starting Pay Rate: $102,000 to $121,000/year DOE

  • Unique sprint car program where CC personnel are assigned a sprint vehicle so they can quickly respond to Critical Care calls in the Central OR area. They can arrive bedside early as the next available ambulance meets them on site or take a dedicated critical care ambulance
  • While a part of our IFT team the CC team stands ready for incoming CC/Bariatric calls and only takes ALS calls when the system is overburdened

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Daily readiness checks and addresses issues with transport equipment and supplies as needed
  • Provide Critical Care emergency services during transport
  • Coordinate and communicate with medical facilities and Dispatch
  • Administer medications and use specialized medical equipment
  • Monitor and assess the patient's condition throughout the Transport
  • Perform life‑saving interventions when necessary
  • Document all care provided during transport for medical records
  • Participate in ongoing training and simulation exercises
  • Ensure medical equipment and supplies are well‑maintained and stocked
  • Assist in patient loading and unloading with safety always a priority
  • Work closely with EMT’s and fellow Paramedics to ensure the overall safety of the mission
  • Shared administrative duties including but not limited to QA/QI program, Training/FTO program, and protocol auditing and creation
  • Community Partner Outreach
  • Active role with various internal and external committees and meetings
  • Supervision of BLS and ALS providers and documenting performance evaluations
  • Assisting with interviewing, onboarding, and training new hires
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners
Critical Care

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in air medical or critical care transport
  • Advanced certifications such as FP-C or CCP-C, CCEMT, CFRN
  • Skills in crisis resource management, and ability to intervene in stressful situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Familiarity with ambulance transport, medical equipment and protocols
  • Physical fitness to manage the demands of the job
  • Certified Paramedic with a current license in the state
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in emergency medical services
  • Trauma certification such as PHTLS or ITLS
  • Ability to work irregular hours and in various weather conditions
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
  • Capability to work in challenging environments and mitigate possible austere medical situations
