Description:
The registered nurse will possess full labor and delivery experience along with postpartum care.
They will be responsible for providing care to healthy and acutely ill childbearing women, including high-risk cases.
The patient population includes conditions such as pregnancy or infant loss, hypertensive disorders, and coagulopathies.
The registered nurse will assist with labor and delivery, postpartum care, and neonatal care.
They will be required to administer medications, monitor patient progress, and support breastfeeding.
Knowledge of emergency protocols and the ability to assess vital signs and fetal heart patterns are essential.
The role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team for patient support and care management.
Candidates should have experience in high-risk antepartum care and be proficient in various medical procedures.
Familiarity with blood product administration, IV management, and neonatal resuscitation is required.
Effective communication and teaching skills for discharge planning with patients and families are crucial.
The registered nurse will maintain a safe and sterile environment while ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
