Primary Purpose
The ASL Interpreter (all levels) is responsible to provide ASL /English interpreting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Possess the professional skills and knowledge required for the specific interpreting situation.
- Adhere to standards of confidential communication.
- Conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the specific interpreting situation.
- Maintain ethical business practices.

Ergonomic Requirements
Regular office hours are established between 8 am – 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities.
All individuals are required to be able to perform essential functions without a significant risk of injury or to otherwise demonstrate or explain how they can perform the essential functions listed above.
Level 1 Novice Level 2 Basic- Associate degree plus experience at post-secondary level
- Bachelor’s degree in Interpreting
- Associate degree plus experience at post-secondary level
