About Wake Makers was started when two buddies in the wakeboard industry grew frustrated by the available options for equipping your boat with ballast. After a while, it became clear that they weren’t the only ones feeling this frustration. The duo set up shop in one of their garages and WakeMAKERS was started.
Fast forward to today and WakeMAKERS has reached a place of prominence in the industry as the leading provider of accessories for towed watersports applications. Why You’ll Love This RoleAs our Marketing Coordinator, you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping how people experience WakeMAKERS. You’ll work on everything from product launches and seasonal promotions to email campaigns and social media, helping us connect with both everyday riders and industry partners. It’s a role where you’ll see the direct impact of your work — and get to blend your professional skills with your personal passion for life on the water.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Bring marketing campaigns to life — manage timelines, deliverables, and keep projects on track.
- Support content creation: write, edit, and publish across email, web, and social channels.
- Build and send email campaigns in Klaviyo, including testing and tracking performance.
- Schedule and manage social media posts, and keep the stoke alive in our online community.
- Track performance metrics (traffic, sales, engagement, conversions) and share insights.
- Help launch new products and seasonal collections with authentic, lifestyle-driven messaging.
- Jump in to support trade shows, brand events, and grassroots sponsor ships.
- 1–3 years of marketing, e-commerce, or related experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills — you love lists, deadlines, and details.
- Experience with marketing tools like Klaviyo, Shopify (or other CMS), and social schedulers.
- Comfortable interpreting data and using insights to improve results.
- Creative mindset — you like testing new ideas and experimenting with fresh approaches.
- Most importantly: a genuine passion for watersports and boating(wakeboarding, wake surfing, foiling, skiing, or just being out on the boat).
- Basic design skills (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with paid advertising campaigns.
- Hands-on knowledge of the towed watersports market.
