Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a minimum of 3 years' OR experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital setting

• Night shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30

• Patient population includes Ortho Trauma and Craniotomy cases in a Level II trauma environment

• On-call required: 2 weeknights every 6 weeks and one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 12-hour shifts) every month and a half

• Floating may occur within the nurse's scope to meet facility needs

• Epic is used for charting and Epic experience is required

• Nurses are expected to handle a range of trauma and complex surgical cases in a Level II trauma center

• First-time travelers with sufficient OR experience are welcomed

• Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed during a 13-week contract

• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not eligible

Requirements

• Active RN license required for consideration; pending licenses may be accepted on a case-by-case basis

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required

• Experience with Ortho Trauma, Craniotomy, and Trauma Level II procedures is mandatory

• Certifications required: BLS; ACLS and CNOR are preferred

• Prior Epic EMR experience required

• Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility; proof of address must be provided

• First-time travelers considered if they have at least 3 years of relevant OR experience
