Travel RN - Telemetry - Direct Observation Unit

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a part-time Observation Unit night shift position requiring an active OR RN license, pediatric experience, and Epic proficiency.

• Active OR RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Pediatric experience required (hard requirement)
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required;
  Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including peripheral line care and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and Rapid Response/Code team protocols
• Prior travel nursing experience may be required depending on overall years of experience

• Part-time position in a hospital's Observation Unit, 60 hours every two weeks
• Night shift schedule (3x12 or 2x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floats within scope to acute care or sitter roles, including CV recovery, PACU, and short stay unit
• Provide direct patient care within an Observation Unit setting, floating as needed to support acute care areas
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
• Maximum of 7 total days of requested time off permitted during the 13-week assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Annual facility training modules are completed during orientation
