Requirements We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Cardiologist to diagnose, treat, and manage cardiovascular conditions in companion animals, providing advanced care and collaborating with other specialists to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
This position can work on a FT or PT basis depending on applicant availability, with at least 2-3 days/week of availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic procedures including echocardiography, electrocardiography, radiography, and cardiac catheterization.
- Diagnose and treat congenital and acquired heart diseases in small animals (dogs, cats).
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medical management, interventional procedures, and surgical options.
- Collaborate with general practitioners and other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate pet owners on cardiovascular conditions, treatment options, and long-term management.
- Participate in continuing education, research, and case discussions to advance veterinary cardiology knowledge.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) degree.
- Board certification or eligibility in Veterinary Cardiology.
- Strong proficiency in advanced diagnostic imaging and interventional cardiology techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
